— THIS YEAR I WANTED CHANGES, REAL CHANGES - I WANTED TO TAKE ACTION. AND WHEN I SAY "THIS YEAR", MY YEAR STARTS ON AUGUST 15TH. THE OPTIONS THAT I CREATE FOR MY SELF GET SLOWLY FILTERED DURING THE SUMMER AND THEN, SET IN STONE AROUND THAT DATE. IT IS ALSO MY BIRTHDAY AND WHEN I PLANT MY SEEDS. ANYHOW. LAST SUMMER WAS THE BEST...
I was practicing the "Letting Go" to it's highest capacity. It worked out real well for me, especially with the crew I decided to surround myself with. I have learned so much... All of last year was about learning (I'll make a blog post about that year... seriously should tell you guys) and that learning phase was so condensed, intense, incontrollable, that I needed to 'Let go" in the summer... and what I also realized after all, is that we are always learning. So what I am trying to say here, is that in August 2014, I decided that it would be an adventure year.
Basically throw myself in the unknown, accomplish daily missions, some smaller then others, start Uni in Business, quit competing for Team Canada, find ways to make my movie & episodes I always wanted, get the girls involved in it, re-do a back flip on skis, do more BC skiing, skin up mountains, go to Japan, build jumps & learn new tricks off them, learn to use computer programs needed for designing, let love reign etc... Just daily missions, some that take longer then others, but are all important to be accomplished... For me, for my head and especially for my heart.. (as cheesy as it is). So I did.
I started University at HEC (in Montreal), I was training 6x a week, putting myself in situations to meet different type of people, attend to conferences that I wouldn't usually go to, accept dates with guys I usually wouldn't go ( I thought it was a nice way to learn how to present myself to different people ) ... You know, I wanted adventures... destabilize myself. Then, my friend JP Auclair died, and yes, it was the hardest but best wake up call ever. After a couple weeks of being down, Ohhh It was on... it's a GO.!
I worked hard; dealt with a minor but real annoying 'screw' problem in my right knee, finished my semester with real good grades & loved it, received my first pro model jacket I made with O’Neill, made some "maad' hats with Discrete, made some "maad" tee' & tanks #NoBoundaries, met people that I really liked, I gave a chance to one, I finally found & signed with an agent (Amy Stanton), I didn't do Dew Tour, made this site ( with Hope Little ), I finally got a new 4 wheel drive car, got my self a BC set up, a few new audiobooks, loved my family & friends, numbed my feelings a bit and left for a solo mission, a 3800KM drive to Utah.
